Why the weird Bio? We'll get to that later.
Why the blog:
It started almost a year ago, I've always been one to seek out more of the world, and learn about things I've never known. But growing up, and especially recently in college that's been kind of tough with social anxiety, doing certain things can be difficult. Finding myself without family or friends that really supported what I wanted to do I found myself really frustrated and venting to a sorority sister of mine who said, "Well you might not have anyone to go with, but keep in mind the people who are already there are interested- maybe they're the ones you should go out and meet". How fantastic was this! She was absolutely right too, but bringing myself to bridge that gap was still difficult and even while attending I would usually ask myself, but why hasn't anyone asked about this other aspect too? You can't say that these things aren't relative or have some effect on each other as well!? etc. etc., So here's the fundamental reason why I've chosen to begin this blog.
I want to know so much more than I do now, this blog is an entirely selfish creation. I'm looking for books people recommend, articles to read, songs to listen to. I want a place where all of the knowledge on a subject can funnel in from different sources and perspectives. This is also why I took the liberty of writing in some abstract information about myself in my biography. My perspective just like any other will be biased and any readers should know at least in part how that opinion developed.
Do keep in mind, not all of my posts will be serious! I have a previously written list of a few things I'd like to start with and will hopefully get to the first one in the next few days. On occasion I'll also share with you some music (and I hope you'll do the same!). I suppose that's all the info you need to know for now.
See you around the interweb!
